Project Brief
I spent 7 months photographing landscapes in Iceland but did manage to connect with Icelanders and made new friends. My time in Reykjavík was meant for seeing people since I rarely saw anyone while trekking through its wide and vast spaces. But I did have friends back in the city and stopped by a cafe where they produced an evening full of fashion.
The Challenge
I decided to avoid flash photography since it would be a distraction for the audience that packed the house, plus, the lighting design gave the room an interesting vibe with spotlights placed in strategic spots that illuminated the models and left shadowy nooks for the crowd to watch the show.
The Solution
The result: a noir vibe that made use of the bright lights and the darkened spaces as the models weaved their way through the crowd.
