Project Brief
Photography at a yearly event. The company holiday party and a place far away from the coal fields of Pennsylvania or the great expanse of Iceland’s empty spaces. This photography assignment was in New York City at a pretty nice restaurant on Columbus Circle. Insight Strategy Advisors has a strong and united company culture, but one that’s quite serious given their job descriptions. The mission how to capture that and will they let their guard down.
The Challenge
The images delivered would be in color for internal and external publications, the company website, and as keepsakes for the people attending. The challenge was how to expand value of the imagery and show they can be used in what’s mostly reserved for fine art market, the black and white image. After brainstorming with the CEO about their corporate culture, I tuned in to these moments to show a different side of the company and created a throwback and alternate selection of images that have an old school vibe.
The Solution
The result: a fun selection of images showing the lighter moments of a serious company and that black and white imagery still lives on.
